Mr. Hakala has acted as legal counsel in numerous property portfolio transactions, real estate and realty transactions and real estate development projects. Mr. Hakala also practices in cases related to zoning and land use. Further areas of Mr. Hakala’s practice include corporate contract law and business reorganization cases.

Mr. Hakala has practiced law since 1997 and he became a Partner of the Firm in 2000.

Mr. Holmberg joined Astrea in 2018 and became a Partner in 2020. Mr. Holmberg acts as the Head of the Helsinki Office.

Prior to joining Astrea Mr. Holmberg has gained over 20 years of experience in various positions in the finance sector, including corporate finance, real estate structuring, SME Bonds and capital market transactions. In addition, Mr. Holmberg was Partner in a global audit and consulting firm for 6 years responsible for Restructuring Services within the Transaction Services practice in Finland and the Nordic.

Prior to joining Astrea in 2018 Lassi Koto acted as Legal Counsel / Senior Manager in a global audit and consulting firm in Helsinki and Stockholm for 10 years. Before this Mr. Koto worked in a Helsinki based law firm specializing in insolvency law.

Mr. Koto serves Finnish and international clients primarily in the fields of transactions and restructurings as well as corporate and contract law. He became a Partner of Astrea in 2020.

He is experienced in resolving commercial disputes through litigation and arbitration with a particular experience in redemption disputes. Mr. Kuusisto also acts as an arbitrator.

Mr. Kuusisto has practiced law since 1997 and became a Partner of the Firm in 2001. He serves also on the Board of Directors of Astrea Attorneys at Law Ltd and acts as CEO, Managing Director of Astrea Attorneys at Law Ltd.

Mr. Leikas has extensive experience in the juridical and financial processes related to business operations. He has served on the Board of Directors in several Finnish and foreign companies. In the field of business law Mr. Leikas has developed an In-House Lawyer service where an attorney of the Firm may work full time in the client’s premises or merely on a day-to-day basis when needed.

Mr. Leikas has also organized and executed numerous demanding and extensive legal proceedings.
 
During his career Mr. Leikas has practiced comprehensively in various fields of law. Since 1995 he has concentrated his practice mainly in business law and in litigation of business disputes. In 2001 Mr. Leikas became a Partner of the Firm, and he acts as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Astrea Attorneys at Law Ltd.

He concentrates his practice in business law and during his career Mr. Sumentola has acted as attorney in numerous demanding cases, including transactions and arrangements relating to corporate and property law, international and domestic contract law cases and extensive proceedings in court as well as in arbitration. Mr. Sumentola serves as legal counsel in several companies ranging from large, publicly listed companies to small and midsized family businesses.

Prior to joining Astrea, Victor Fagerlund acted as Senior Legal Counsel at an international financial institution. Before this, Mr. Fagerlund practiced law at a leading Helsinki based law firm. Mr. Fagerlund has also previously worked at a Finnish pension insurance company.

Mr. Fagerlund has advised both domestic and foreign companies in national and international M&A, contractual matters, corporate finance and capital markets transactions. Mr. Fagerlund also advises clients in their investments in private investment funds (e.g. private equity and venture capital funds).

Mr. Fagerlund joined Astrea in 2023.
